On 4 and 5 November 2009 the IEP in cooperation with the Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) organized an expert conference on the topic "How to improve the European Neighbourhod Policy? The “2nd International Summer School on Sustainable Development”, which will take place at the European Academy Otzenhausen from the 23rd to 30th of August 2009, is devoted to the topic “Decarbonizing Europe and the World. European Climate Policy - Internal and External Dimensions”. The summer school will deal with the social, political and economic aspects of European climate policy as well as the challenges of international climate policy in the ongoing fight against global warming.
